Pick a Pumpkin! Family Fall Fun for 2017

Fall is finally here – it’s my favorite time of year! I made it through the Louisiana summer and it’s time for the fall and winter holiday season. Every year my family visits a local pumpkin patch. Below are some options for you and your family. Comment on this post if you have one to add.

Mrs. Heather's Pumpkin Patch - Hammond

You may know Mrs. Heather from her Strawberry Patch! Different Farm and location, but same Mrs. Heather!

Location: 11215 Lees Lane, Hammond, LA 70401
Open: Now open everyday of the week from 9 am to 5 pm through November 5, 2017.
Cost: $7 per child from newborn to age 16, which includes a pumpkin and all activities, including: Zip line, Jumping Pillow, Tunnel Slide, Face Painting, Duck Racing, Pedal Tractors, Hay Maze, Milk a Cow, Roll Down the Hill, Paint a pumpkin (weekends only), and more. Free for adults.

Liuzza Land - Amite

Location: 56457 Holden Circle , Amite, LA 70422
Open to Public:  Every Saturday in October: October 7; October 14; October 21; October 28 from 12-4 pm. 
Cost: $10 per child age 2-12 (includes choice of pumpkin). Age 12 and up is $5 each, and under 2 is free!
Activities include: Enjoy pumpkin picking, pumpkin painting, wagon rides, petting zoo, pony rides, tunnel slides, and more! We will be open to the public- Every Saturday in October from 12-4

Steele's Pumpkin Patch & Fall Festival - Washington Parish

Location: 56459 Dollar Road in Angie, Louisiana, 70426. (1 1/2 hours from Hammond)
Open to the Public: Weekends in October, starting Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017.
Saturdays: 10 am - 6 pm and Sundays 1 - 6 pm.
Cost: $8.50/person. Children under 2 are free.  

Over 30 Activities, Including: Tractor Drawn Hayride, Pumpkin Patch, Petting Zoo, Zip Line, The Moo Moo Choo Choo (Six wagons painted to look like cows), Hay barn, Tarzan Ropes, Duck Races, Tunnel Slide, and many more activities (check out their website!). Looks like a great time!

LSU AgCenter Hay Maze in Baton Rouge

Open: October 7, 14, and 21 from 10 am to 5 pm and Oct. 28 from 10 am to 9 pm (includes Night Maze)
Location: LSU AgCenter Botanic Gardens at Burden: 4560 Essen Lane, Baton Rouge, LA
Cost: $10 per person age 5+, including 2 concession tickets; children 4 and under are free.
Pumpkins for painting will be $5
 
Kick off the fall harvest with the BEST maze in Baton Rouge! Bring the kids and enjoy activities such as hay maze, hay mountain, zipline, scarecrows, pumpkin patch, petting zoo, pumpkin painting, food and more.

Cajun Country Corn Maze - Amite

Location: 40833 Highway 16 in Amite (See directions on website below)
Open: Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays in Oct. 7 - Nov. 26.  See calendar for times. 
Cost: Age 12 and up: $11; Ages 4-11: $9; 3 and under: Free
Activities include: corn maze, pig races, animal petting area, playground, chicken show, duck races, spider web and other activities. Additional cost for other activities such as the cow train, air cannon and zombie shoot.

The Pumpkin Patch at Stella Plantation - Braithwaite, LA

Location: Stella Plantation, 4881 Louisiana 39, Braithwaite, LA 70040 (about 1 hr and 45 mins from Hammond)
Open to Public:  October 15 and 22 from 10 am - 4 pm
Cost: $10 per person (includes mini-pumpkin). 
Activities include: Corn Cob Cannon, hayride through beautiful Stella Plantation, bouncy houses
