Come see the “Wildest Show in the South.’ The Angola Rodeo is held October 4, 11, 18, & 25, 2015 at Angola Prison, 17544 Tunica Trace, Angola, LA.
Located northwest of Baton Rouge at the end of Hwy 66, approximately 22 miles NW of St. Francisville, it is an approximate two hour drive from Tangipahoa.
Angola prisoners participate in several different rodeo events such as riding, roping, and barrel racing. There is also a wide variety of inmate crafts for sale and inmate bands will be performing. Concessions are for sale throughout the grounds.
The cost is $20 per person. Children ages 2 and under are free
Gates open at 9 am. and the rodeo begins at 2 pm. Crafts are open until 5 pm.
